Sardinia. Our hotel was on the bay just outside the town of Alghero. We picked Alghero as home base for our time on the island because it was on the ocean, yet away from the ferry ports.

Sardinia. This is the Hotel dei Pini (Hotel in the Pines) just outside of Alghero. It was reasonably close to town, but still far enough away to avoid the crowds and congestion.
