Maras Salt Ponds: a steady stream of salt water exits the mountains and is directed to this huge conglomeration of salt ponds. Each pond belongs to a villager -- they fill the pond, let it sit for 30 days, harvest the salt to sell, then refill the pond and start over.
The salt ponds are incredible. The sheer number of ponds is overwhelming.
