Moray ruin: These circular depressions were most likely used as agricultural labs to study the effects of climate on different plants. The temperature on each level varies by several degrees, with an overall temperature change of 27 degrees Fahrenheit from bottom to top.
Maras Salt Ponds: a steady stream of salt water exits the mountains and is directed to this huge conglomeration of salt ponds. Each pond belongs to a villager -- they fill the pond, let it sit for 30 days, harvest the salt to sell, then refill the pond and start over.
The salt ponds are incredible. The sheer number of ponds is overwhelming.
