From Courmayer, Italy (background), we took a cable car over the Italian Alps to the summit of Mont Blanc (the highest peak in the Alps).
The edge of the Mer de Glace glacier above Punta Helbronner (elevation 3,462 metres). Those two small dots in the center are tents from a mountain climbing expedition.
